How current is a reading, and how do I know it hasn't gone stale?
Every reading knows when it was computed and how fresh its evidence is. The platform combines scheduled and event-driven recalculation (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or when a material event occurs), and evidence age travels into the confidence and integrity of the reading — stale or missing data is shown as a gap, not treated as healthy.
Do we have to move all our data into your system first?
No. Sources remain authoritative; information is queried, retrieved, transformed, cached, persisted or embedded only where the business purpose, source capability, performance and security call for it. Federation isn't a promise that data never moves — it's a discipline that picks the least disruptive, most effective pattern for each source, so you don't launch a consolidation programme for every outcome.
What kinds of sources and evidence can it actually connect to?
Operational systems, databases, warehouses, semantic models, files, documents, APIs and existing BI content — structured, semi-structured and unstructured. It brings measures and transactions together with plans, reports, documents, commentary and externally published information, so different forms of evidence can be considered side by side.
How is a connection more than a raw pipe — how do users know what a number means?
A business and evidence layer sits above the technical connection: shared business meaning (definition, unit, calculation, owner, intended use), source and transformation trace, current and expected timing, role and data visibility, cross-system relationships, completeness and validation, and an explicit read on the strength of the evidence — so stale, incomplete or contradictory evidence is visible rather than presented as certainty.
